I’m Edify Tagwirei aka Zimboy, from Bulawayo (Mpopoma), currently studying at NRZ college doing Diesel plant fitting. I do graphic designing with three years of experience. I do almost all kinds of designing from logos, photo manipulation, cartoon making, cover art, magazines etc. Am passion-driven and designing has always been in me ever since secondary school but I realised it later. It’s quiet easy to distinguish between Zimbabwean talent compared to foreign ones due to poor creativity, I want my designs to fill that gap to a level of being more creative than anyone else.

Currently a stand-alone designer but working in partner with Zimmhansii Company and Hustle Nation Entertainment.

YouTube tutorials but I try creating my own original stuff.

With, ‘cartoon making’, you mean motion or still picture?

Still pictures but after college am planning to start on motion pictures.

Which types of software do you use for your designs?

Adobe PhotoShop CS6.

Any prominent designs that are in the mainstream market so far?

I’m limiting myself from the big market since am still in college.

How do you balance between diesel plant fitting & graphic design?

During school days I limit my designs then on holidays I much focus on designing.

If there was a chance to do graphic design for a music video or movie, whose music video or movie will it be for?

Da Vinci demons (movie) &/or Gemma Griffiths music video.

Any last message to upcoming graphic designers?

“Being nuts is dreaming beyond effort”.
