Halla speakers around the globe. Content creators will tell you how rewardin’ it is when your clerical work gets noticed in the public sphere. As part of our expansion drive, we will be havin’ poetry and other works of intellect showcased on your blog of blogs in town. Let’s kick this off with a poem from 17-year old Nadia Gumbu entitled, “LOVE.” All of us have had an encounter with this animal called love at some point. Some have a grim picture of it and some have a picture-perfect story to tell. Let’s hear what Nadia has in mind:
It means more to me than the word itself
It brings flames in one’s heart
It turns everything into gold
It never changes it’s colour
It remains pure

Love
A word that brings joy and happiness
It never fails
It never looks for more
It still remains as one
It never takes
But gives the joy that one should feel
Love strikes again
Now, who is Nadia? As mentioned before, she is 17 and learns at ROOSEVELT GIRLS HIGH. “I love to write poetry and helping people and I love to be me. I am kind sweet and soft hearted and I also love to have fun and reading books,” is how she describes herself.
